Westquay Shopping Centre’s charity partner is Two Saints, a local homeless charity. They have two branches in Southampton.

Firstly, they have Patrick House, which is accommodation for the homeless.

Secondly, there is the Day Centre, which provides hot meals, access to healthcare and provides assistance with benefit applications and finding accommodation.

Key partners: Two Saints and Westquay staff

Outcome of campaign:

The charity has been awarded £5,000 by Hammerson through the company’s charity bursary scheme. Two Saints also has full access to fund-raise in the centre, which they have made use of. Westquay also donate our lost property to Two Saints. They have an otherwise poorly stocked cupboard for the homeless to access for new clothes and shoes. Westquay has a lot of clothing left as lost property, which helps replenish their stock.

The result of this partnership has been the funds raised locally for the charity.

Next steps:

Future events in the centre include a male choir singing and collecting money for Two Saints, a second choir also collecting money and Two Saints creating a fund raising event for World Homeless Day on 10th October.
