Craig has been running his watch repair business at Parkway Shopping Centre for the past 2 and a half years.

“I was struggling with anxiety and was desperate to get back into work. I was fortunate to get into the watch repair business and it was something that I became passionate about. I was working for someone else for a while but unfortunately it just didn’t work out. When I left and was trying to figure out what to do, I decided to try branching out on my own.

"At the time, the centre really appealed to me because there was nothing here and I thought I could add something to the area. I approached Zoe (the centre manager) and she gave me a trial at a reduced rate and it was great!”

Craig has since been a great addition to the centre. He built a loyal customer base and is often praised for his good work.

In April 2017, he was able to invest in his business and upgrade his stand into a much better space for himself.

“Trade is good and I am making a good living here. Generally the customers are very friendly and loyal. I also feel really supported by the centre, mostly anything I need from the centre I can get which is great.”

“I would love to expand this business into more shopping centres and have more stalls like this one in the area. I wouldn’t want to leave the centre though, as I am very loyal to the area and I am so grateful to Zoe for taking a chance on me in the first place.”
