What will be the biggest challenge for our industry over the next 12 months?

For us, it is about getting clients to understand the different types of innovation and that it's important to run both short term impact and longer term development projects at the same time. From a consumer perspective, it's always about trying to simplify the way we monitor and improve complex user journeys.

 

What do you think are the biggest opportunities for the next 12 months?

At Holition we are delighted that AR is now at the forefront of people's minds (consumers and clients) and that we now have more choices of platforms and methods of building AR experiences.

 

What is the one major challenge facing retailers in 2018?

Making the online and offline consistent but differentiated.

 

What piece of tech do you think will make an impact in 2018?

AR Glasses by Apple, if they are released!

 

Who do you admire in politics currently and why?

Nobody, it is very hard to find someone I admire in this area.

 

Do you have a saying or piece of wisdom which inspires you? If so, what is it?

Nothing is good nor bad but thinking makes it so (Shakespeare). It reminds me to think from multiple perspectives.

 

Who’s your mentor or someone you’d always seek advice from?

I have several, I make sure I have one which is from academia, one from business, one who is an artist, one who is a scientist, one who is a writer and one who is a child. Each offers such a unique view.

 

Where would your ideal holiday be to this year?

I would love to go to Patagonia, for the landscape and the peace and also I think what the brand does is highly admirable!
