After several long weeks of uncertainty following the UK’s decision to leave Europe, we now have a new Prime Minister and a new Cabinet including a new Minister for Housing and Planning.
Theresa May is no stranger to planning, having served as shadow Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions (she has also taken a keen interest in housing in her Borough). Her new Minster for Housing and Planning is former Croydon Central MP Gavin Barwell who replaces Brandon Lewis. So what does this meaning for planning – more of the same or a radical new approach?
