We've now released our newest Guidance Note! 

The concept of soft landings is to have an approach to project procurement and handover that delivers better building outcomes.

Soft landings is defined by the Building Services Research and Information Association (BSRIA) as ‘Designers and constructors staying involved with buildings beyond practical completion, to assist the client during the first months of operations and beyond, to help fine-tune and de-bug the systems and ensure the occupiers understand how to control and best use their buildings’. It shifts the emphasis for good performance away from just design aspiration to the way buildings are actually managed and maintained and focuses the design, procurement, construction and commissioning on improving performance in use...
